Help Out Your Community!
Throughout the school year we have a variety of volunteer opportunities. Sign up below for the event(s) that best suit your schedule! All volunteer events during the school year are free of charge and there is no commitment to project requirements. You can sign up for any number of projects. To sign up for events fill out the event sign up form at the bottom of the page.

If you have NOT volunteered with YVC this school year, you will need to fill out the YVC Waiver and bring it with you to your first volunteer event.

You MUST sign up and receive a confirmation email in order to participate in the volunteer events!
Heartland Humane 
Sunday, November 2nd, 10am-11:30am
Drop off and pick up at Heartland (398 SW Twin Oaks Cir)
Assist with daily chores, animal socialization, and more!

Veterans’ Day Leaf Rake
Tuesday, November 11th, 9am-1:30pm
Drop off and pick up at Avery Park Office (1310 SW Avery Park Dr)
Join us as we help rake and clean up leaves in our elderly and disabled community members’ yards! ​

Turkey Trot Packet Stuffing
Saturday, November 15th @ 10am-12:30pm
Drop off and pickup at Osborn Aquatic Center (1940 NW Highland Dr)
Help put together runners’ packets and goodie bags for the annual Turkey Trot!

Pre-Thanksgiving Leaf Rake
Saturday, November 22nd, 9am-1:30pm
Drop off and pick up at Avery Park Office (1310 SW Avery Park Dr)
Join us as we help rake and clean up leaves in our elderly and disabled community members’ yards! ​
​​You will receive a confirmation email within a few days. Failure to register will result in no participation in the event.
