YVC'S FOUR FUNDAMENTAL GOALS

YVC OVER THE YEARS
In 1987, YVC began as a summer volunteer program in Kansas City. The program has since expanded its reach with YVC Affiliates offering year-round service opportunities in communities across the U.S. and Canada. YVC Affiliates are hosted by local community-based organizations such as United Way, The Y, Boys and Girls Clubs, volunteer centers and Parks and Recreation departments. Each YVC program is unique but they all share the same mission! YVC of Corvallis just recently Celebrated its 25th anniversary as we started this program in the summer of 1995! We have worked with a number of agencies throughout the City of Corvallis and the State of Oregon to improve the communities and their quality of life! Every YVC project incorporates service-learning to help youth understand the impact of their volunteering and team-building games to promote an inclusive work environment. All projects are supervised by trained adults. YVC youth are involved in the planning process to help create a meaningful service experience that highlights their interests.
